More coming...

There was not a lot of time to update the blog while traveling, so now that we are home I will update the posts with additional events and pictures and hopefully others on the trip will jump in with their experiences (I was already told I did not do justice to the rocky boat ride so I am sure you will hear more on the adventure!). Stay tuned...

Travel day - homeward bound

View from the coach on the way to Shannon Airport

The plane!

The plane ride home was a story of its own. There were a couple of intoxicated individuals "on holiday" heading to America (apparently to shop at Macy's and drink more) however they talked non-stop for six and a half hours at about the volume you hear at a game after your home team scores - you really had to be there to appreciate it - and I am not exaggerating even a little! One of our fellow travellers, looking for the silver lining noted at least we did not have to spend our holiday in Ireland with them!

The WNEC group was very happy to see Kristina Oleksak, Associate Director of Advancement Events at the arrival gate. We were all tired, so I am not sure if we shared any good stories with her about this trip on the ride home however I do remember talking about ideas for the next trip!!

Day 7 - Graduation

Tonight in addition to a farewell reception there was a small graduation ceremony (some folks were better than others about posing for the camera!). In addition to our "diplomas" we each recieved a book on an Irish writer.

Day 7 (Thursday)

Today was a free day and some choose to stay in Ennis, travel to Galway or Limerick. I went to Limerick with Cathy and Sharon. We went all over the city starting with People's Park and the Georgian House and Gardens, then headed across town to King John's Castle and the Limerick City Museum.

We enjoyed a great lunch of fish and chips at O'Connors Cafe and Restaurant and then headed out for more exploring. Unfortunately we got caught in a very cold rain shower while looking for the Harris Restaurant, so we decided to catch an early bus back to Ennis.
